Delicacies in the Ulten Valley

In St. Walburg there is the "Eggwirt" inn (village centre), which has existed for generations and is known for its traditional South Tyrolean cuisine.

You can also enjoy a delicious lunch at the "Kirchsteiger" inn (next to the church) or at the "Seerast" hotel (near the dam).

The small but fine mountain inn "Steinrast" spoils you at lunchtime with traditional dishes and specialities from the forest and meadows. You can enjoy homemade cakes until 17:00.

In Kuppelwies we recommend the restaurant/pizzeria "Kuppelwies", which impresses with fine cuisine and delicious pizzas from the wood-fired oven.

On the St. Moritz hill above Kuppelwies you will find the "St. Moritz" inn. Typical South Tyrolean specialities and, on Tuesdays, game are the trump card there.

In St. Nikolaus, in the centre of the village, you will find the "Mesner" inn, with a small but fine menu, ice cream sundaes and homemade cakes.

In St. Gertraud, the hotel/restaurant "Arnstein" is worth a visit. Excellent cuisine and 5-course menus are waiting for you there.

Also in St. Gertraud, the restaurant/pizzeria "Lärchengarten" (open from Friday to Sunday, directly at the millennial larches) is a great place to enjoy a meal.

The "Hofschank bei den Urlärchen" is also located there. It is open on Saturday and Sunday.

In summer, you should not miss the highest mountain restaurant in the Ulten Valley, the "Weissbrunn" restaurant. Next to the Lake Weißbrunnsee, at the valley end at 1900 m, you will find delicious, home-style cuisine typical for the Ulten Valley.
